When was Vitarich Corporation founded?
Vitarich was incorporated and organized in the
in 1962. The forerunner of Vitarich was established in 1950 by the brothers Feliciano, Lorenzo and Pablo Sarmiento, when they founded Philippine American Milling Co., Inc. ("PAMCO").
PAMCO eventually moved from its original location to a more modern feed plant in Marilao, Bulacan. This move marked the beginning of the Company's fully integrated operations and the trade name "Vitarich" was subsequently adopted.
In 1962, after PAMCO acquired additional machinery and equipment to increase capacity, the Company registered with the SEC under the name "Vitarich Feed Mill, Inc." and later on became Vitarich Corporation.
What is the primary business of Vitarich Corporation?
Vitarich is engaged in the feed and livestock operations in plants located throughout the Philippines. We produce hog, poultry, aqua, and other specialty feed requirements for our livestock operations. We formulate, produce, store, and market our feed which come in mash, pellet, crumble, and extruded forms. The product line consists of broiler, layer, hog, aqua, and other specialty feeds. We sell our animal and aqua feeds to distributors, dealers, and end users. Our livestock operations involve everything from breeding and growing to marketing of animals.
