Job Summary

The Warehouse Custodian in the Feeds Department is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in warehouse areas where animal feeds and feed-related products are handled, stored, or processed. This role ensures that all sanitation procedures meet both internal quality standards and regulatory compliance, supporting safe and efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize warehouse areas including floors, aisles, storage racks, and loading docks in accordance with feed safety standards.
Ensure cleanliness in restrooms, staff areas, and locker rooms used by warehouse personnel.
Dispose of waste and used packaging materials properly, including feed dust and spillage.
Regularly clean and maintain equipment used in feed handling, such as conveyors, pallets, and tools.
Follow biosecurity and sanitation protocols to avoid cross-contamination between different feed products.
Conduct scheduled deep cleaning of specific zones as per sanitation program requirements.
Inspect cleaning equipment for proper operation and report any issues to maintenance or supervisors.
Replenish cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed and maintain inventory logs.
Work closely with the QA and Production teams to maintain audit readiness and GMP compliance.
Ensure all cleaning activities are documented properly as per company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Assist with light warehouse duties as needed, including moving supplies, basic organizing, or assisting with pest control procedures.

Qualification

Graduate of any 4-year degree course
Experience in warehouse or custodial work; experience in feed or food-related facilities is a plus.
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), particularly in feed/food environments.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and safe handling practices.
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for long periods.
Good attention to detail and ability to follow written cleaning protocols.
Basic communication skills and ability to report issues clearly and promptly.
